CUET UG 2026: National Testing Agency will begin the Common University Entrance Test Undergraduate (CUET UG) 2026 examinations from tomorrow, May 11, for over 15 lakh candidates seeking admission into undergraduate programmes across participating universities in India.
Ahead of the examination, the NTA has issued important exam day guidelines for students appearing in the computer-based test conducted across multiple centres in India and abroad. Candidates have been advised to carefully verify all details mentioned on the admit card and report to examination centres well before the scheduled time.
As per the official instructions, candidates whose live photograph does not match with Aadhaar or registered ID proof must carry an original certificate duly attested by the competent authority for verification purposes at the examination centre.
The agency has also instructed candidates wearing religious or customary attire to report early for mandatory frisking and security checks to avoid delays during entry procedures.
Only limited items will be permitted inside the examination hall, including:
- Transparent water bottle
- Transparent ball point pen
- Admit card with self declaration
- Two passport-size photographs
- Original valid photo ID proof
- Diabetic eatables (if required)
- PwD/PwBD certificate (if applicable)
Electronic gadgets including mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, smart watches, calculators and written material will not be allowed inside the examination hall.
The CUET UG examination will continue till May 31 in multiple shifts and will play a crucial role in admissions into central universities and several other participating institutions. Students are advised to regularly check official updates regarding city intimation slips, admit cards and examination schedules.
Meanwhile, candidates appearing from tomorrow are focusing on final revision, mock tests and time management strategies during the last few hours before the examination.
